Love of the Prophet ﷺ
لا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَالِدِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
“None of you will believe until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child, and all of mankind.” (Bukhari 15)
مَنْ أَحَبَّنِي كَانَ مَعِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ
“Whoever loves me will be with me in Paradise.” (Tirmidhi 2678)
The Story of Zayd ibn Harithah
When Zayd’s father came to take him home after years of separation, the Prophet ﷺ gave Zayd the choice. Zayd replied: “I could never choose anyone over you – you are to me as my father and mother!” This profound love became a lesson for all companions in devotion to the Messenger ﷺ.
